DreamWise is committed to reducing our impact on the environment and are continuously working to become more sustainable. Our actions include:

• 100% Wind Powered: DreamWise is powered by 100% wind energy through Xcel Energy’s Windsource program. We have paid for this additional cost by reducing our energy usage throughout the facility.

• Reuse: When possible we reuse paper, boxes, packaging materials, and pallets. We also use reusable water bottles to conserve.

• Recycling: We recycle cardboard, pallets, paper, shrink wrap, metal strapping, plastic, aluminum, glass, electronics, toner cartridges, batteries, plastic bags, and more. In 2010, DreamWise diverted more than 90% of our waste from the landfill. 84.9% was recycled.

• Compost: We collect compost from our site and staff homes including food scraps, paper towels, label paper backings, and yard waste. In 2010, DreamWise diverted more than 90% of our waste from the landfill. 7.4% was composted.

• Material Recommendations: Our customer care department is well versed in the environmental impact of different types of materials. They regularly make recommendations to reduce the environmental impact of a project.

• Site Selection: During the process of finding a new location for DreamWise critical selection criteria included lighting efficiency, sky lights, location in relation to the Post Office and overall building efficiency.
